A mover and a shaker

Well..I officially felt my little peanut start punching and kicking yesterday! I was sitting in sacrament meeting DURING sacrament when suddenly two really distinct hits came. My sister said I jumped 3 feet off the pew! It scared me to death! haha! I wasn't expecting it or for it to be that much of a nudge! But boy did it make me happy!! Now everytime I feel it moving I get the cheesiest grin on my face because I know my baby's just saying hi!!

Feel Like a New Woman!

Ok..so I did cowboy up and chop my hair and I'm SOO glad I did! I feel like I lost 20 freaking pounds!! It feels SO good and I am in love with short hair! My friend Cambria did a great job and I gave her the biggest hug when she was done because she did such an amazing job. I'm actually going back this week to get more shorter layers in it so it's even more choppy! Haha am I addicted already? I heard hair cutting can become super addictive! Oh well. Here's the results:
I basically felt like an idiot taking pictures of myself, which is why I have that stupid kissy face plastered on! haha. Oh and I wanted y'all to see my growing belly...even though most women I know laugh at me when I say how big I am! It seems pretty big to me!!!

I'm DOING IT!!!

Ok I've finally decided to do it!! I have wanted to cut my hair for FOREVER! I was actually planning on growing it out long enough to do Locks of Love, but I just cannot wait anymore! I am so incredibly sick of my hair, especially after being pregnant I just never ever feel like doing it I always pull it back or pull my bangs back, and I just feel like it's time to CHOP IT! Jess is really nervous, he loves long hair like every other man I know, but I feel like it's some pregnant woman rite of passage to chop your hair off! Haha..at least that's what it seems all my friends who have had babies have chopped theirs! So tomorrow is the big day! My friend Cambria who goes to the Paul Mitchell school for hair in Provo is going to chop my hair off and I know she's going to have fun doing it because it's ALOT of hair to chop!
Here is my inspiration for the cut:
If any of you have ever watched Rock of Love which happens to be like my favorite show despite being soooo incredibly stupid! It's strangely addicting I'm not even kidding, and I think Bret Michaels is disgusting and Jess thinks I'm crazy for ever watching it but I don't care! Anyways, from the first season this girl named Jes is the girl that won. Throughout the season I would always say how much I LOVE her hair. I would love to go pink too haha but I'm not quite that daring! But she is my muse if you will, and tomorrow hopefully my hair will look like hers!

It's going to be realllllllllllllly short but I'm sooo excited for a change!!

It's just so sad!!

Well today is probably one of the saddest days of my life! I had to give away my baby...Mr. Higgins!!!! That little booger has been in my life for over a year and despite the fact that he has never been the most well mannered little pooch, I'm SO attatched to the little guy!!
I decided about a month ago that he needed to go. I didn't want to, and still don't want to, but his energy level and badness level combined with a newborn baby I think would be not so good! So I prayed hard about it and decided to sell him. After several quite nasty emails that people wrote me on KSL.com telling me how horrible I was for giving him away, which made me feel 10 million times WORSE that I already did about giving him away, a really amazing nice family called about him! They live in Monticello Utah which is by Moab. They have a lot of land and a 4 year old little boy! Sounds like the perfect scenario for me! Higgins LOVES kids he's great with them in fact my nephews adore him, but I was just too worried about having him around a newborn.
So, I'm about to go and meet up with the family who is coming to get him. I'm already crying, and will probably bawl my eyes out like a complete idiot when I give him away.
As if I haven't cried enough over the past 3 or 4 weeks. It's been so stressful. My mom started her chemotherapy, and has to stay in Salt Lake for the duration. So, I offered to move in with her at the Marriott which caters to the Huntsman Center, so we have a super huge suite for VERY cheap! I've been up there during the weeks with her making sure she's ok and getting her what she needs, taking her to the hospital for her treatments, and most importantly making sure she gets out as much as she can so she doesn't go CRAZY! It's been an emotional journey thus far and my Mom and I have been shedding alot of tears together, but it has really been good for me and her to have this much alone time, and I have enjoyed our many very very late night conversations because neither of us can sleep! My mom is such a strong woman, and so far she's doing very well with her treatments, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that her hair won't fall out this time! But I told her if it does I'm buying her all sorts of fancy head wraps which are supposedly the "in" this summer! :) And some cool wigs too!
Anyways, there's a quote that has been constantly running through my head this whole time and it is: "Be not faithless, but believing" . There have been times when I feel way to overwhelmed and can't hold it together, but that quote has given me inner strength and peace. God has a plan for everyone, and we just need to stay faithful that things will work out in due time, so staying positive is key. But we will continue to pray and be believing instead of faithless that things are going to be fine.

"There Really IS a Baby in There!!"

I had the amazing experience today to hear my little peanut's heartbeat!! At first my doctor couldn't find it and I got sort of sad thinking I was one of the few who doesn't get to hear it this early. But she found it and it was like sweet music to my ears! My eyes filled with tears and I managed to spit out "there really IS a baby in there!" which was sort of silly to say, but it feels so real now and even though I have been miserable my heart swells up with so much love for this growing baby and it is totally going to be worth all the sickness!!
My doctor prescribed me for Zophran, I think that's how you spell it. It's a miracle nausea drug that is also used for chemo patients, and ironically my Mom is using it as we speak! She has not felt sick yet from the chemo, which is AMAZING because last time she was beyound miserable and sick. So I have faith that the Zophran will help my nausea too!

And OH SNAP! a baby's pokin' out :) It's incredible I'm already showing so much at 3 months! I'm either having a HUGE baby..or multiples! We'll see...

Hallelujah!!

I thought I should blog about this momentous occasion....I was finally able to go back to the gym the other day! WAHOOOOO!!!!!!!! Since getting sick over a month ago I have not stepped foot into my beloved place of working out. So needless to say I've felt incredibly out of shape! I have lost weight from puking my brains out, but what pregnant woman is trying to lose weight? Seriously...I just want to be as fit as I can!
So anyways, now that I'm back into the swing of things I'm feeling like a new woman and boy does it feel amazing! I'm running again, lifting, and will be starting up some prenatal yoga which I'm REALLY excited about! I also think that water aerobics would be oh so much fun, I got the idea from my good friend http://jennvalenzabrandt.blogspot.com Jenn who is 6 months pregnant and always blogs about how much fun she has at the classes. So that might be a new activity I'll be picking up!
It still hasn't totally dawned on me that I'm even pregnant, I mean yes I have been deathly ill which is an obvious sign, not the mention the amazing growth of my chest which hey, I don't mind too much! But my first ultrasound is next tuesday and until I actually get to see the baby that is really inside of me it will really all seem real! I am SOO excited!!

Happy Birthday To MEE!! :D

The time of year has come again, yes a day that should be a holiday! Aly and I's wonderful day of birth has come and gone on April 3rd. It was a really fun day for both of us. Although Jess was not with me I got to spend my birthday with Aly and my parents, a first for over 4 years!! Me and my Mom and Aly and I went to go see a matinee of "27 Dresses" at the dollar theater, and then we went out to dinner to Chili's which was the first restaurant I have been able to go to in over a month! Then we went and got our bowl on! After we got home we had one of my Mom's famous delicious cakes and opened presents. All in all a really fun relaxing day! Me and my Papa in between bowls! Aly with her good bowling technique!
The next night a few of our close girlfriends took me and Aly out to PF Chang's for dinner!A few of them couldn't come, but it was still fun! Once again I was ecstatic because I was actually able to eat! PF Chang's is one of my absolute favorites so I am glad I didn't have to pass that up! We laughed and ate and Aly and I even got free dessert! Yum! I have the best girlfriends in the world :) Me and one of my bestest friends Jamie
23 Holla!!!

Aren't we an attractive group?

Buca and Babies

The week before Jess left (tear :'( ) A few of our very close friends and us went to Buca di Beppo's in Sandy for sort of a goodbye dinner for Jess. It was kind of funny, because when we left Dallas for Baltimore, that's the same restaurant our friends and us went to to say goodbye! It has just become tradition I guess! We all shared each other's food which was all quite delicious, and got the most amazing chocolate cake for dessert yum!!!
But this was also a special night because this is the night we started telling everyone we were pregnant! We wanted to wait longer, but some people already knew and before the news spread like wildfire, which it has, we wanted at least our good friends to know! So it was a night of celebration for us! Me and Abbie who is like a sister to me The proud parents! Why does Jess look so unhappy?
Our whole crazy group! We got a lot of laughs from the host who took this picture for us! Me and my good friend Anny admiring the little boy peeing fountain...oh we're so mature

Aly, Abbie, and I were being silly on the car ride home

Fightin' Phillies!

A bunch of my girlfriends and I are on a volleyball team for the city of Orem. It's been soo fun! Since 6 of us are from Philly and grew up together, we decided to call our team the Phillies, even though 3 are from Cali..but oh well!

So far, we have been 4-3! A pretty good record :) We have such a blast when we play together and it's really a good workout, and just a good time all around for a Monday night.

Our team clockwise from top left: Keri aka "i don't dive", sara aka "guns", amanda aka "co-po", abbie aka "drabbie", me aka "buti-licious", but now they all call me "baby maker"!, Jamie aka "J-Money", Aly aka "a-baby", Jessica aka " big red", and emily aka "chunk".

Luckily, I have still been able to play despite my horrible morning sickness! It's fun for me to get out of the house and especially out of my sweats which have been my uniform for the past like 3 weeks. And my doc okayed me to play for two more weeks which should hopefully be as long as our season will go!

I'll keep you updated on our status and whether or not we win the big tournament in two weeks!

Gooooooo Phillies!!! Picture on right top: Our team huddle in the crucial point of the game. middle: amanda, aly, and me in our hitting line during warm-up. Bottom: midgame action!
