Hot Mama!

My very talented friend Elise was awesome enough to help me take some pregnancy shots yesterday. I've been feeling kind of well...HUGE lately and it felt really good to feel pretty! Some guy in Salt Lake the other day at the hotel my Mom and I are staying at for the duration of her treatments asked me if I was having twins...sad!! But for the time being I'm just going to embrace my huge-ness and love it! Anyway, Elise took some amazing pictures and we drove all over south Utah county to find cool outdoorsy spots and we found some pretty sweet ones! These are not all of the pics, but some of my favorites!
Corn!!
LOVE those mountains!!
You can't see him, but there was a TINY baby deer about 30 feet from where I stood! So cute

This one is probably one of my absolute favorites :)

Thanks Elise!! You're the best :)

Anny's Wedding

One of my dearest friends and a former roommmate Anny got married on 8-8-08 in the Salt Lake Temple. Besides the scorching heat while waiting for them outside the temple that day I had such a blast! At the ceremony Aly and I were reunited with Melissa and Stacey, two of our other roommates from our "VH house" in Logan where we lived with 10 girls. Only 8 of us still keep in touch and are super close now! We had fun taking pics around the temple while we waited for the attractive couple to come out! Then after taking some group shots at the temple the four of us headed to Gateway to have lunch and shop! We then had about 4 hours until the ring ceremony and reception at Anny's parents's house. Aly and I ended up going to Target for a while and then to a pet store to hold some cute puppies ( we were pretty bored!) and then eventually just headed to Anny's to see if we could help out. Luckily, they REALLY did need some help so they were more than happy to see us!

The ring ceremony was a traditional roman one which was pretty interesting to see, but not unlike a normal ceremony. Some of the differences- BOTH of Anny's parents walk her down the aisle, they said some things in Latin to one another, we threw crushed walnuts at them as they came down the aisle again for fertility, OH and Anny's Dad wore a sweet toga while he ran the ceremony! It was really awesome!
Once the dinner started all of Anny's former VH girls were pretty rowdy I must say. We were by far the loudest table there and could not stop laughing. I thought I was going to pass out from hunger so we decided to butt in line for the buffet style dinner to which alot of people were quite unhappy with us, but hey, are you going to starve a pregnant woman?? Didn't think so! haha
I had such a good time and was especially glad to be with some of my closest girlfriends from our VH house! We were missing one key girl, (Elise :( ) but we still had fun regardless!

Still waiting...and dying of heat!!

Aly, Mel, and big HUGE me! My belly is ALL up in Melissa's business!
Anny, her husband Chris, and her family. Isn't Anny gorgeous?? We thought this would be a hilarious pic since guys usually do it! Anny and I decided to get personal under her veil! Flashing our VH gang sign! I love these girls so so much!!

Baby Shower!!!

So my wonderful beautiful sister Aly put together a friend baby shower for me! She put alot into it with help from our mom and it turned out so cute! Not everyone came, but pretty much everyone who really matters to me did! I got tons of adorable gifts and we ate and played some silly games and had a blast! I am so grateful for my wonderful friends who I know I'll have forever, and especially for my best friend, my sister Aly who means more than words to me! She is already being such a big help to me and I know my little boy's favorite aunt is going to be her hands down!!
Me and the lovely lady who put it all together!
The adorable cake!!

It was a jungle-themed shower which is also the theme of my nursery in progress! It was so cute!
the cute monkey pinata we gotSo, I had some problems hitting it, and eventually hit the thing so hard I broke the bat!! So I resorted to ripping the thing opened! That's how I roll.
The Mommy-to-be sash Aly got me to wear
We attempted to play this game where you freeze a baby and everyone guesses the delivery time..well the thing took forever! It ended up being born like an hour after everyone left..but Rachel congrats you won!!! haha I am so mad because I didn't even take a group shot!! But here are Jamie and Abbie who I did manage to snag a pic with before they left.
So thanks to Aly for putting this together for me, and also to all my wonderful girlfriends who came out for it!! You girls are my rock of love haha.

Trip to Idaho

I picked up my sis-in-law mary and her daughter Mia at the SLC airport and we road tripped up to Rexburg to see our in-laws as well as Jake and Jacie and their kids. It was such a fun trip! We went to a pioneer day parade, played outside on the 4 wheelers, went to the splash park and the park, played lots of card games, had a cookout in the firepit, and just hung out and had a great time with each other! I am so grateful that Jess and I are both so blessed with amazing families. When I had told my good friend that I was going up to Idaho to see Jess' family and my in-laws, she said "Oh wow, you're nice!" and all I said was "...but I love my in-laws!" which I really truly do! I guess I never realized that some people really have problems getting along with their spouse's family but I have never had that problem and for that am so grateful! They have always made me feel welcome from the very beginning and I really truly love going up to Idaho to see everyone! Cooper, Porter, and Mia riding on the carousel
playing in the corn rows!
Mary and I and our pregnant bellies!
We're 4 weeks apart and both having boys!! :)
