Huge Pupils and other tales

So, life here in B-town has been fun! We are getting adjusted to the humidity again (which I always forget how poofy it makes my hair ahh!!) , but I am LOVIN the hot weather and cannot wait for our pool to open so that I can take Big Easy swimming. He is such a water baby he flips out everytime he gets in the tub so I can only imagine what he'll do in the pool!
Anywho, it blows my mind how everywhere I go people come up to me and talk to me because of Calvin. It's like no one in Baltimore has seen a baby! haha, but I will confess I love the attention! And they can't help it, Calvin is the cutest baby alive, I would come up and want to talk to him too!
An example, I was in the bank the other day, and this lady was behind me. She proceeds to start having a full convo with Calvin (not me, mind you, I didn't exist to her), and before I knew it, she breaks out in a full rendition of 'I'm a little teapot' in the middle of the bank, hand motions and all!
Another example, I was in our gym the other morning at our apt complex. Calvin usually is quite obliging and allows me at least 45 mins of workout time in the gym. He chills in his stroller and plays with his toys until he lets me know when he has had it. So, I get in my running time at least, and if I don't get to lift or do abs, I do them in our apt later while he sleeps. It works out quite nicely! Back to my story- I was running the other day and this lady comes in who I assume had every intention of working out too, but proceeded for half an hour to sit down next to Calvin's stroller and play with him!
Am I taking crazy pills?? I don't mind the attention to a point, but come on people! I felt odd that this woman would not even talk to me, but thinks it's ok to play and touch my baby (hello..swine flu!). So, shameful as it might sound, if she is in the gym or comes into the gym now while I am there...I book it! haha!
A few days ago a cluster of blurry cells appeared in my vision in my right eye. Not really bothered at first, I brushed it off because I have seen floaters my entire life so I assumed it was just one of those. But after a few days of it not going away and not moving when I moved my eye around, I got worried. So today I had my appointment at the eyedoc at Costco. I was really nervous! Jess prayed for me last night in our prayers which made me feel better, and he kept assuring me that everything would be fine. But, I mean you only get one pair of eyes!
So, I had my appt today and eveything is fine! She said that it is just a small cluster of cells that will go away and is nothing to worry about! Phew! What a freakin relief! I also got a new pair of glasses finally it's been oh, 7 years since I have even gotten the prescription changed in my old pair, and they are so bent from years of me falling asleep in them! haha! And I would love the option of being able to wear glasses some days instead of contacts, and thought a new hot stylish pair would help me do so!
But, she dilated my eyes at the appt which I haven't had done in quite a long time. After we were done I went and did my grocery shopping which was hard enough not being able to see close up, I felt like Mr. Magoo! She gave me those awesome shades to wear outside and assured me I would be fine driving. Can I just tell you how terrifying it was? I felt like a mole person coming up to the surface after years of being underground! When I drove home on I-95 I felt like I was driving on the surface of the sun! It was sooo bright even with my sunglasses over the shades! Boy, was I glad to get home in one piece!
Then, once home I went to change a very soggy wet Calvin and realized I had totally spaced it at Costco and didn't get diapers! AHHH!! So, with absolutely NO diapers in the apt or my car I raced to the closest grocery store and grabbed some then sped home before any leaks happened! Whew! What a day!

Ok I can't agree with you enough!! Random people come up and talk to Nathan ALL THE TIME and get RIGHT in his face. Like old people will and I'm afraid they'll cough on him...but ya no one bothers to talk to me...they just coo over Nathan. It does bug sometimes! Glad everything is ok with your eyes. My mom and brother both have floaters...my mom had to have a laser surgery but everything is good now! Calvin is such a cutie!!!
