WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!

So I am beyound ecstatic because this past week we MOVED INTO OUR HOUSE!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYY!! We are still unloading boxes and figuring out where everything is, and we've been sleeping on the floor the past three nights because our stuff that's being shipped from Texas is not here yet, but we could NOT be happier! It was such a long gruesome process and I'm so grateful it's finally over! I will post some pics of the house once it's cleaned up and what not! :D

So anyways, this past week weekend was the annual celebrity spotting extravaganza that is Sundance. My friends and I always used to love to go up there and try to see famous people, and I was so happy that I got to go again this year! My sister Aly and my best friend Jamie got to come up with me twice and boy did we have fun!! The first time we went up was during the daytime, we didn't really see anyone which we were sorta bummed about, but it was still fun! We ran into this guy, Ben Lyons, who works for E! network. He was standing there in front of the camera ready to do a news bit, and we were just standing there talking to him. He was so nice! He was going to let us be in the shot, but it was taking way too long, so we moved on eventually. Oh well! We also saw Miss America who is gorgeous! But we didn't want to bother her taking a picture. We were going to leave because once the sun goes down it's SOOOO COLD! But as we were leaving we stumbled across this really fancy vip party in a huge tent. I was warming myself by the heat lamps outside trying to peek in, and the bouncer was like "You three look like trouble." I smiled and said "Us? Nah.." and he was like "You all 21?" and when we told him yes, he LET US IN! hahahaha..I could not stop laughing because I couldn't believe we just got into this really high class party. It was apparently for some brand of alchohol called Stella Artois and if I did drink..that would have been the place for me. But the three of us just had fun alchohol free and started a dance party! The CEO and marketing director of Stella Artois were these really cute old southern guys who came up to us and asked us if we would be their spokesgirls! hahahaha..we were like uhh we don't drink! It was flattering, but we had to turn them down.
There was a band there called Dirty Sweet, which I've never heard of, but they were hanging out in the vip section. Once they and their entourage left the three of us had a photo shoot there! My sister ran into this guy there and she flirted shamelessly with him because we knew he had hook-ups! (hahaha i know! isn't it fun being a girl?) And low and behold..he got us tickets to the closing part of Sundance! we couldn't believe it! So Saturday night the three of us headed back up to Park City for the party!
We felt so famous going down the red..or I guess Black carpet! So we had to take a few photos! And we even had some pics taken of us by photographers! haha Once inside the party there was so much amazing amazing catered food, and it was all FREE! And there was a huge dance floor, but the DJ didn't know what he was doing so we mostly socialized than danced. There were top producers, actors, and directors at this party! The most famous that we got to meet in person was Quentin Tarantino. I about peed my pants when I spotted him! He was soo nice and talked to us for a while, but woudlnt' take any pictures which was sort of lame, so we kind of improvised!
That's him behind us if you couldn't tell! haha We also met the mountain man of park city! He sort of reminded me of Sasquatch! but he was in head to toe fur! it was kind of sad :(
But the whole night and experience was a total blast! We met another band called Meridianwest whom the lead singer totally had a crush on my sister and invited her on their tour! We also met one of the biggest producers in hollywood, a man by the name of JR..who is the gayest man i've ever met in head-to-toe leather..but was sooo fun! He loved the three of us to death, so I'm hoping now that we made some friends in high places we'll have some sweet hook-ups next year!!

Goodbye Dear Prophet

I couldn't believe the news when I heard last night. Jess and I were at my Mom and Dad's for sunday dinner and were packing up a few more boxes to take over to our house..when the show we were watching was suddently interrupted by the breaking news of the Prophet's death. I was dazed for a few seconds, and then suddenly started bawling and could not stop. My Mom and I embraced for a few moments crying, it just hurt my heart to know that our sweet Prophet was no longer with us. But I know that he is so unbelievably happy to be reunited with his dear wife :) I am so glad to have been able to hear his words in person on several occassions once in Philly, once in New York City at the Madison Square gardens, and once in the conference center. He was an amazing man, and such a good example to us, and he will be forever missed.

2008 Resolutions

Well I think I have made myself some good resolutions this year! I thought I'd try to be as practical as possible and try not to reach way to high like I ususally do!! (First resolution, actually DO my resolutions!!!) 1. Move into our HOUSE! Yep, we're still waiting... hopefully it will close this week! (I'll let you know!)2. Stay in shape, and keep my excercise regimes exciting and new! I have started swimming again, which I haven't done since my senior year 5 years ago ahh!! So I got out my cap and goggles and one of my many racing suits which AMAZINGLY still fits! I am fairly out of shape when it comes to swimming but I try to swim 3 times a week and at least 100 laps! I'm so proud of myself! :)3. Stay in better touch with friends and family! Which means actually picking my phone up and calling people!! Sorry I really do suck at it...but hey I'm gonna do it this year!4. Get a job! I am looking for a receptionist type job, something easy that wouldn't be too much work or hours a week. I had a really really good interview today so hopefully I get it!

5. Finally start my dream..writing and illustrating children's books!! It has been a passion of mine since as long as I can remember and this year I'm finally going to start! Since Jess will be in Kansas City all summer and I will only have a part time job, I am really going to cowboy up and get my many ideas on paper! Wish me luck!!

6. And finally, start writing and keeping a weekly journal! I have actually already started this before Christmas, but have had to catch up on 2+ years! It's taken forever, and I'm almost caught up! I just really feel it's important to keep a journal of events that happen and my feelings and thoughts for future generations! :) Hopefully I can keep it up this time!
Well...there they are! Here's to a great year in 2008!!!!

Movies anyone?

I thought I'd give some movie reviews since that seems to be what we've been doing lately! If any of you haven't seen Enchanted I HIGHLY recommend it!(I've seen it twice!) Soo adorable! They mean for it to be totally cutsie and cheesy, which makes it even more fun! And the music in it is so great! You know it's on my i-pod now haha! It's just so nice to have a good family movie come out because movies lately are so over the top and have all these unneccessary stuff in it that just ruins them.
The other night Jess and I went to go and see Juno, which ended up being sold out, so I dragged jess to Ps I love you. It was SOOOO good! And the best part..even JESS thought it was good! (He never ever ever ever likes chick flicks!) It's actually such a good story line, and has things happen that could happen to anyone which is why it's so touching. Believe me girls, if you want a good cry, see this one, I cried pretty much the entire movie! Definately a good movie to rent if you want a girls night!

Finally, I am Legend. Ok..good movie, but SCARY movie! I didn't really know what this movie was about when we went to go see it, I just thought huh will smith I like that guy..this should be good. Ok..I was gripping Jess' arm so hard the entire movie because it seriously has you at the edge of your seat the entire 2 and a half hours! And I had NO clue it was about scary zombie people! Reguardless of the scary factor, I would recommend this movie. It was never boring from start to finish, and plus Bob Marley's music is a huge part of it and who doesn't love Bob?

TAGGED!

1. Grab the nearest book
2. Go to page 123
3. Find the fifth sentence
4. Type the next three sentences along with these instructions
5. Tag 10 people to do it (5 will do too!)

The nearest book to me is "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" so here goes....

...." Henry's affair with Elizabeth Blount seems to have ended with the birth of her child, and he arranged through Wolsey to have her honourably bestowed in marriage as a reward for services rendered.Late in 1519 she married Lord Tailboys, although Wolsey was savagely criticised for his part in this, and accused of encouraging young women to indulge in fornication as a means of finding a husband above their station.Yet Elizabeth Blount would go on to make an even more impressive second marriage after her husband's death, to Lord Clinton, later Earl of Lincoln."

Pretty deep stuff! It seems like a good book though.. Henry VIII was an interesting, altough man-whorish guy!

Tag! You're it!

New Years in Idaho!!

We spend New Year's up in Idaho with Jess' family! We had a blast! New Year's day we went bowling, and then that night we had yummy fondue and played games! We got to see our adorable niece and nephews Porter, Cooper, and Mia. Porter whom is totally cheesin in this picture what a stud!!The nights festivities also included sucking the earwax out of our ears!! Jess and I bought these candles for Sam and Mary for Christmas that literally sucks the earwax out! It was sooo hilarious! I know it sounds gross and it was..but it was such a funny thing to be doing! I recommend trying it my ears feel so clean now!
TOTALLY SICK!! I won for most earwax deposit hahahaha

As a yearly tradition, although this year may have been the last, we had a roman candle war! It was super super cold outside, (10 below!) and it ended abruptly when Mary's neck got severly burned from a rogue spark!

It was still fun though and don't worry Mary is fine! Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's!!
