Not a good day...

So we found out yesterday that my Mom has to have another cycle of chemotherapy. I can't even really describe my sorrow or any of the other cornacopia of emotions that I'm going through at the moment, none of them good ones.
For those of you who don't know my Mom's story, she's had bone marrow cancer since I was 11, so 11 years exactly. She was in remission for about 5 years until I went out to college in Utah. During the worst parts of it, which was when I was in middle school, she had chemotherapy 4 times. Plus radiation and some other treatments like a stem cell transplant, which is a horrible awful procedure.
Anyway, why do I feel like I'm 11 again? I could not stop crying yesterday. I cried so much I made myself sick. And today I just have this knot in my stomach that won't go away.
For now we'll all just pray and stay faithful that everything will work out.

Poetry Corner

I have decided to get back into my creative and artsy roots. I used to draw, paint, and write poetry and short stories all the time, but have not had time for them in the past few years. So, I've decided to do it all again! It feels great to get my release from letting my creative juices flow again! I've been drawing a ton, if I can scan them in I'll post some of them up, but for now, you're going to have to deal with my awesome poetry. I've only written two poems so far, so here it goes. It's kind of scary to put it up, so please me kind! haha!

shout-out to my muppet!

So I had my first official day of work today, and in a move so unlike me I woke up LATE! I had to be at work at 9:30 and woke up at 9:20. AHHHH!! So I freaked out got ready in like 6 minutes and did my make up in the car I must have looked ridiculous haha! But I got to work at 10:10..cuz traffic was bad and I could tell my manager was a bit bugged. Boy did I feel about 2 inches tall! I felt horrible, like seriously I'm ususally so responsible and this is not like me at all..and on my FIRST DAY of all days to be late! ugh!
So I was feeling pretty bad all day and am just still feeling crappy from my ear infection and cold, so I came home and needed some lovin'! My little muppet was there to give me affection like only a dog can! He was so sweet and snuggly and gave me tons of kisses and totally made me feel better until Jess got home :) So this is a just a little shout-out to my little muppet!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

So my amazing hubby took a few hours off of his busy recruiting trip to come and spend time with his hot wife! ( haha!) I was so incredibly surprised and ecstatic when he called me saying he was stopping by. He surprised me with some yummy chocolate truffles and my favorite scent of body spray from Victoria's Secret!!
So, now that he and his partners are on their way to Snow College for the night I am sitting here watching Father of The Bride II, and thought I would catch up on some stuff!
Okay..so I was not blessed with incredibly long eyelashes, and I have discovered the mascara that has changed my life! It's CoverGirl's newest mascara called Lash Blast:

This stuff is AMAZING! I actually truly love my eyelashes for once in my life! I don't know what the difference is with this mascara and every other types that I've tried..but whoever made it needs to win some kind of award!






Anyways, enough about mascara...I PROMISE I will get some pics up of our house! I have been hesitant to do it because i want everything to look perfect! So hopefully I can take some this weekend!
My bad few days is finally over! I am so grateful because I was ready to snap! I don't want to get into what was going on..but just know that it's over yay!! So the only thing that sucks now is that I have a cold and a really bad ear infection..awesome. So now that I have some hardcore antibiotics hopefully it'll go away in the next few days.
And I finally got a job! I've been looking for a job to take up my time since I'm not in school right now, but especially once Jess leaves for the summer :( I don't even want to think about THAT yet..but I got a job at one of my favorite stores Down East Outfitters! yay!! I absolutely love their clothes and it's the easiest job ever so I am thrilled!
Well hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day! I'll probably be chugging some good ole' Nyquil and passing out!

Eventually..it all works out

I have had this feeling all week long like I'm on cloud 9; like nothing can bring me down! So, we moved into our house which was hard work but I'm so relieved now that we are in! We're still busy unpacking and making it a home but we're at least to the point now where we can be comfortable. But I just feel like everything is going so right and Jess and I have never been happier! I have an amazing husband who just makes me laugh all day long, we have an adorable little house, the business is going well and Jess Greg and Doug were successful this week recruiting more guys, and I honestly have just been beaming all week long! We have been soooo frustrated with our stupid loan and some other stuff going on, that we were just really incredibly stressed out these past few months, so now that things are finally looking up it is such a blessing to us to be in our house and having things go the way we want them to for once. Heavenly Father certainly heard our prayers and saw our patience with things and I am so grateful for Him and the gospel in my life.
So now, we feel like partying alll the time! Well ok not all the time but we've been blasting music in our house moving in and just dancing and looking like complete fools but seriously NOTHING is bringing me down from this high!
This past Thursday one of our new manager's Jeff got married to his awesome fiancee Cristina in the Salt Lake Temple. We didn't go to the temple, but were invited to their reception at La Caille, which is probably the 2nd most extravagant wedding I've ever been to! The first was a wedding in Washington DC my mom's best friend's son married into an extremely wealthy family (one of the most wealthy in DC!) Their Dad is a very successful architect and builder and helped build the DC temple! But we were rubbing elbows with the Marriotts who are close family friends and many other really wealthy folks!
Ok so anyway, this wedding was sooo gorgeous! La Caille is at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Sandy and is a french themed place that is just gorgeous alone in the setting by the mountains. The building's architecture was out of this world and they had their reception at the very top of the building where it was like a green house with lots of plants and fountains and it was all glass. For dinner we had fillet mignon, Alaskan salmon, yummy veggies and salad, and for dessert creme broulee of course! I was in heaven and ate wayyyyy too much oops! :) They even had a live band who kept playing awesome songs so Jess and I just HAD to get up and shake what our mommas gave us! It was so fun and I can't wait to get to know them more since they'll be working for our compay now! I love making new friends!
